Hoboken is about to face our third Mayoral election in six months. It has been a disaster to say the least. Today as I sit here, I am so sick of watching politicians try to win through lawsuits. As I said on my blog, they aren’t trying to be the best candidate, they are trying to eliminate the best candidate. It’s ridiculous.
At the same time, I’m wondering if there is a lesson we can learn from this as followers. The truth is, as followers of Christ we won’t be effective until we demonstrate what it means to be alive. Telling people they are trusting the wrong things and trying to prove they are missing out just rings hollow if they don’t see us experiencing life. This won’t mean we will have more things, it will mean we will have less and yet still be more joyful!
