Wars

A week ago at Hoboken Grace, I talked through the incredible way that God values us.  I talked about how this supersedes the value that we so crave from those around us.  I talked about how we can embrace the way He has valued us and how this can free us from allowing the joy of Christmas to be destroyed by comments we didn’t expect.  Within four days I was confronted by a group of people questioning the value of our church.  I think if they had questioned my personal value, I would have been fine but I wasn’t ready for this.  I completely allowed it to destroy me.  It consumed me for the past two days and completely sucked the life out of me for our Christmas celebration this year.

It’s a battle.  It’s a battle I’ve not yet learned to win consistently but I will.  God’s leading me through this and when I come out the other side, I’ll be even more dependent on Him.
